fern flat pottery trip

On thursday totara class went on a trip to the fern flat pottery place it was a long way to fern flat when we arived there we had morning tea it was cool there they had grape vine lemon tree and a water fountain.After that they showed us the showroom that had heaps of clay desighs we all looked around in the showroom at the clay then we get to make our own clay but we made clay pigs we rolled it up into a ball same size as a ping pong ball next we mad a round hole in the middle like a bowl.We also add the legs the snout and the tail and tusk if we want to add tusk when we all were done we had lunch and got to play we all got our bags and said thank you we were going to go for a swim at the swimming hole but we were late it was shallow so we jumped in the pool and had a swim.The pool was cold when we first jumped in but manuka came and warmed up the pool.We all jumped out and went in class and it was time for hometime here is some pitures at fern flat pottery.

beach day

on friday year 6 went on the tech bus year 7 8 went to tech but we went to taipa beach it was fun when we first got there we had a little bit of our lunch and then we all had a talk about keeping safe in the water.and then we got chaned taipa school came over are first activity was sailing on tiny boats we had to buddy up i was with arkiel we had to follow ths red boat peter and taz came first we didint got any wind but the waves pushed us a little bit.For 27 seconds we got wind arkiel was stering at the back of the boat and i was turning the sail me and arkiel put our sail side ways so the wind can push on it then the people on the boat threw colour balls on the water it was fun.

today at school we saw a dead kiwi are teacher ran the kiwi over at night are teacher brang the dead kiwi to school in kauri.we also get to touch the feathers they were so so soft the kiwi had long wskis
and a long beak but blood at the end it was yuck.
